| Conventional Plowing:
This process is done with what is called a moldboard plow. This is where the plow goes into the ground, (up to 13" deep), and rolls over the dirt. This is used when you want to aerate the soil, bury some of or the entire crop residue, control weeds, insects, plant diseases, or incorporate fertilizer or lime deep into the soil as well as prepare a mellow root bed beneath the seedbed. |
